File disputes with the credit bureau based on the fact that they appear to be duplicates.Contrary to what “bdancer” below say, a collection agency cannot, under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, study on an item that has already been notated on your report either as a chargeoff or in collections, nor tin they re-age debts unless you have made a promise to pay or actually have paid on the debt. They CAN however, report once on a charged off debt. And it does not ached to dispute based on that. It doesn’t ached to dispute based on anything. If it did, no one would be disputing erroneous item on their credit described. Piffle. Ever heard of zombi debt? That’s when accounts are sold off so often to other collection agencies, you tin have a listing an arm’s length long on your ascribing report, all originating from the same debt and it tin happen for years. That’s why we have to be vigilant about observation our attributing reports and correcting erroneous entry.
